A simple, private voice recorder that lives in your browser. Record a note, a song or a lesson, listen back, and download it — recordings never leave your device.
No app to install — press, speak, save.
Recording and playback happen entirely in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, stored on a server, or kept after you close the tab — unless you choose to download the file yourself.
Yes — no sign-up, no recording minutes sold back to you, no watermark. Your browser does all the work.
WebM (Opus) is small and plays in most modern browsers and players — best for sharing. WAV is a larger, uncompressed file that works everywhere, including older software, and is better for editing.
Microphones are private, so your browser always asks first. The recording only starts after you allow it, and the mic is released the moment you stop.
There is no tool limit — the recording is held in your device memory, so very long sessions (over an hour) can strain small phones. For lectures, record in parts.
Open your browser site settings for this page and set Microphone to “Allow”, then reload. On some browsers you must also be on the secure (https) version of the site — gettooldock.com already is.
