Questions

Is this really free?

Yes — no sign-up, no credits, no watermark. The AI runs on your own device, so it costs nothing to use, as often as you like.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Your photo is processed locally in your browser and never sent to a server. Only the AI model files (about 9–16 MB per style) are downloaded once from a public library the first time you use a style.

Which style should I pick?

Anime Portrait is tuned for faces — selfies and portraits come out best. Anime Scenery (Hayao) is tuned for places — landscapes, streets and buildings. You can try both on the same photo and keep the one you like.

Why does it take a little while?

The first use downloads the style's AI model, and painting a photo is real AI work for your device — expect roughly 10–60 seconds depending on your phone or computer. Later photos are faster because the model is cached.

What size is the result?

The model paints on a fixed-size canvas (512×512 or 672×504), so we fit your photo into it and then size the finished cartoon back to your photo's original dimensions as a PNG. Very detailed photos will look softer than the original — that's the painted style.
